I AM ….

The Character and Nature of God

Greetings – and by the way, this is my first post – so go easy on me!  My blog is about the misconceptions and deception surrounding who the majority of people, even believers, believe about who God truly is  – His character and nature.   He tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has plans for us,  plans to prosper us, not to harm us, plans to give us a hope and a future.  He is our Creator and if we have become believers in Jesus, He is our Father.  This verse is in direct contradiction to how so many people would describe Him.  I know this because I was in the same position.  But my heart was open to allowing Holy Spirit to reveal to me His Truth.  It seemed to me that what I was experiencing was in contradiction to what the Word of God was saying.  I know that God is Love and that He is not a man that He could lie, so I knew that something had to be amiss with my thinking and therefore my belief system.

Our belief systems are very important.  Our beliefs determine who we become and the decisions and directions we choose in life.  God created us in His image.  This means the we not only have a soul and a body, but we have a Spirit.  God is Spirit and in order to communicate with Him, we must communicate from our spirit to His spirit.   This brings up another thought – perhaps our belief system surrounding the “salvation” process is missing an important piece.   If so, we owe it to ourselves to open our hearts to seeking Truth.  We can explore this thought in a later post.

We are going to respond to someone depending on how we perceive them or via the teaching we have received.    I have been in the church world for years and have also attended different denominations.  There are differences between all of them.  Again, if there is only one Holy Spirit, how can there be so many different doctrines?  This is no condemnation to any denomination or anyone who teaches/preaches the Word.  We are all products of the environment that has surrounded us since birth.  And once again,  this dictates to a large extent who we become and what we believe.  Bottom line, I don’t think the differences, in themselves, are so important.  The only way we could totally miss it is to miss the only way back to our Father, and that is through Jesus Christ.   (John 14:6)  The foundation has to be based on Jesus Christ.

This message, I believe, is just a teaser to what is to come.  My hope is that you will take an honest look at what is presented, evaluate your own beliefs concerning the “Expressions from God’s Heart” that I feel He is leading me to present.  I know that not all will receive as intended.  It is a message from God to those who are ready to receive His Expressions of Love.  An anointed Word from God can change our lives tremendously if received.    Talk soon – Brenda
